When you choose a product, you go with a brand you trust and a company that considers you first and foremost. Why should your choice in a behavioral health provider be any different?
Choosing a place to send your loved one—or yourself—is a difficult decision. How can you ensure that the provider meets the highest industry standards? How can you make sure that the staff is properly trained? And how can you make sure their programs are suited to your recovery needs.
That’s what Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditation is for. It’s the best way to ensure that the organization will care for you or your loved one in a safe, supportive and effective environment.
CARF is an international accreditation and standard-setting organization that works hard to ensure quality of care and services in behavioral services and treatment facilities. It’s a non-profit, volunteer run organization that has been around since 1966.
Over 6,500 organizations throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, and South America have accredited programs. Now Prelude is one of them.
Prelude and CARF Accreditation
Prelude is CARF accredited, and is one of the few behavioral services facilities in Iowa that has achieved this accreditation. We have passed an in-depth, intensive review of our services and have achieved a full three-year certification for our substance abuse and mental health programs.
There are strong guidelines for the quality of care that CARF accredited organizations must have, and Prelude will continue to offer high-quality care for all of our clients and their families.
What That Means for You
For individuals and families seeking assistance, a CARF accredited organization is a must. If you know the organization is CARF accredited, you know that you’re receiving the highest quality of behavioral and mental health services.
At all CARF facilities:
- The programs actively involve clients in selecting, planning and using services that will provide them with the tools to lead healthy, meaningful lives. The organization's programs have met client-focused, state-of-the-art standards of performance.
- These standards were developed with the involvement and input of clients.
- The organization is focused on assisting each client in achieving his or her chosen goals and outcomes.
When you’re at Prelude, you can rest assured knowing that you’re receiving the best care possible.
